Emmerdale’s Charley Webb reminisces on Christmases with co-star ex as he ‘moves on’

There wouldn’t have been a dry eye on social media after Emmerdale star Charley Webb took to Instagram with a nostalgic video of a past Christmas.

The 35-year-old actress seemed to be reminiscing about past festivities – which included her then husband Matthew Wolfenden and their three children. With smiles and joy all round back in 2021, it’s easy to see why the soap star may have been feeling nostalgic as she glanced back at happier times.

In the video, Matthew can be seen laughing and joking at the table with family and loved one. The actor even takes to his feet at the end to excitedly bob up and down with his children – all while wearing a chef’s apron which appeared to be a gift.

The festive clip, was teamed with Auni’s song Twinkling Lights and actually made the segment seem even more heartbreaking. Especially knowing that Matthew and Charley have since gone their separate ways.

Charley shared a nostalgic Christmas video from two years ago

After five years of marriage and sharing three young children together, the twosome who met on Emmerdale in 2006 announced that they had parted way. Vowing to continue to be friends while co-parenting their offspring.

Soon after a unanimous post landed on each of their Instagram feeds, declaring they were no longer together, it manifested that Matthew had in fact moved on. He has been pictured holding hands with and kissing his Elf co-star Heather Scott-Martin, but slammed speculation that he had cheated on Charley.

Matthew was furious over infidelity allegations and took to his platform to “set the record straight” over claims involving him and the professional dancer and personal trainer. He slammed cheat claims as an “out and out lie”.

He added: “Can you leave us alone now?” Before telling his followers “glad to get that off my chest” and included a laughing emoji and urging folk to watch them in Elf The Musical.
