Tensions are rising on Coronation Street this week when Ed attempts to flee Weatherfield, the new owners of the Rovers Return is revealed and Carla and Peter’s marriage hits the rocks
Coronation Street fans can expect more drama this week as things between Carla and Peter Barlow break down.
Over the past few weeks, the fan-favourite has been struggling to come to terms with his guilt after he ran over cobbles killer Stephen Reid in October. Since then the star has been getting involved in physical fights and arguing with his doting wife while she attempts to repair Underworld.
Will they be able to work through their issues or is this obstacle just too big?

Elsewhere, Ed Bailey faces more money troubles when Tony threatens him to pay back the money he owes by the end of the week. When Ed comes up short he packs a bag determined to leave, but Tony barges into his house and pinches him, knocking him to the floor.
Will Ed leave the cobbles for good or will he come clean about his gambling habit to his family and get help?
Also, Jenny and Daisy tell Dee-Dee they’re off to the bank to secure a loan for the Rovers Return. After fighting tooth and nail for the famous pub, the pair are forced to submit a sealed bid when the Waterfords received a competitive offer.
But will they have done enough to bring back the beloved pub?
