Motormouth TV star Jeremy Clarkson has admitted to finally learning to keep his gob shut.
The 63-year-old former Top Gear host is famed for his outspoken views on everything from ramblers to vegans and eco-activists – and many more besides.
The Clarkson’s Farm star admitted to mellowing, saying he managed to stop himself from ‘making a joke’ in case it ‘offended anyone’. The dad-of-three said: “I’ve always told my children that the most important thing they can do in life is make people laugh.

“It used to be fairly easy: you just said something funny.
“But in the new world, where giving offence is not allowed, it’s not easy at all. Flippant morning exchanges with the security guy at your office. Risqué exchanges on WhatsApp. Bons mots with the girl at the coffee shop.
“The little things that once brought a momentary flutter of levity into your life. Not possible, I’m afraid, as a man can’t walk into a pub any more. Because he may not be a man.”
He added: “While out filming the other day, I drew breath to say something funny, but then I looked around at all the young people and thought ‘Better not’.
“I couldn’t see that my joke was offensive, but it might be to someone else.
“That’s enough of a reason to put the brakes on. Better not to say anything at all.”
In the past, he has landed himself in bit of brother after saying that striking public sector workers should ‘be shot’.
He was also rapped for saying the ’N word’ on Top Gear and using an ‘ethnic slur’ while filming in Burma.
Other incidents include doing a mock Nazi salute while discussing German design, describing a Ferrari F430 as ‘special needs’, and saying Greta Thunberg needed a ‘smacked bottom’.
The TV star-turned-farmer – who now runs the 1,000-acre Diddly Squat farm in Chipping Norton – was axed from Top Gear in 2015 for punching producer Oisin Tymon in a row over a steak dinner.
