Kerry Katona has announced she’s appearing on Celebrity Googlebox, but some fans might be disappointed when they find out it’s not the UK version of the show.
Gogglebox has given the art of being a professional coach potato a whole new level of respect, and reality TV star Kerry has now going to give her brutally honest verdicts on the latest telly.
However, the Atomic Kitten star’s stint might not be what her fans have been asking for as she’s signed up to the Irish version of Channel 4’s programme instead.

Kerry is hopping on the couch with comedian and writer Alison Spittle on Celebrity Googlebox Ireland, which airs on Virgin Media One across the Republic.
Taking to social media, she said: “My favourite thing in the whole world is watching television. I think watching people’s reactions to certain things on TV is hilarious, which is why I love Gogglebox.”
And it’s fair to say her partner in crime is positively salivating at the prospect of sitting alongside her pal.
Spittle beamed: “I love Gogglebox; I’ve always wondered what it was like to watch telly on telly like a TV turducken. Delighted to show Kerry the glamorous delights of Moate and the surrounding environs of Westmeath, failing that, we’ll just watch TV.”
While Katona isn’t Irish herself, she’s extremely well known in the Emerald Isle due to her tumultuous relationship with Westlife star Brian McFadden.
During an appearance on Ellie McKay’s On a Mission Podcast, the 43-year-old slammed her ex due to how he allegedly acted when their children were young.
She asserted: “I’m the one who provides for them. I didn’t get maintenance money off Brian. I signed a piece of paper saying, ‘You can keep your money, give me my kids’.”
The reality TV star continued: “I said, ‘Look, if you don’t want me, you don’t love me, I don’t want your money, just give me half the money from the house that we sell, and I will sign a piece of paper, just give me my kids’.
“I signed the piece of paper, I got the kids, and he f****d off to Australia.”
However, in recent times, it appears they’ve buried the hatchet, with 22-year-old Molly and 20-year-old second daughter, Lily-Sue, regularly heading over to Ireland to visit their dad.
The first episode of all new Celebrity Gogglebox Ireland will air Wednesday September 20 at 9pm.
