King Charles III, 74, and Queen Camilla, 75, made a surprise cameo on American Idol.
The royal figure’s made a shock appearance on Sunday’s (May 7) episode of the American singing competition as they appeared virtually on screen alongside the show’s judges, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, who performed at the King’s coronation concert.
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, 48, checked in with the royal figures via video call as he asked how they enjoyed the historic royal events over the weekend.

Lionel was he’s heard telling the King: “What a party”, followed by “It was unbelievable.”
His co-judge, Katy, 38, who looked exquisite in a gorgeous green dress and performed at the coronation concert, added: “It was incredible, and we’re here for the coronation concert at Windsor Castle.
“Now we are trying to figure out what we can do to bring something different to the show,’ Lionel said. “So…I have a surprise.”
“Oh goodness,” Katy said before King Charles swiped in, adding: “I just wanted to check how long you will be using this room for,” before saying: “I just wanted to check.”
“We have to give up the room right away,” Lionel said as he thanked the King for coming.
King Charles then quipped: “No, thank you for your brilliant performance and thank Katy as well. It really was. It was great to have you both here.”

“Are we making too much noise?’ Katy asked Queen Camilla.
To which Lionel said: “I understand there is a party.”:
Before Charles chimed in, saying: “Ah, you have heard about that,” Lionel responded: “Well, you are throwing a party right next door,” Lionel said.
“Ah, that’s right,” King Charles said. ‘Had we better take you to the party, but you’re busy with all these other things.”
“As soon as we finish, we are coming to the party,’ Lionel said.
“Well, you deserve it,” King Charles said. “Bless you.”
“Thank you so much,” Katy responded.,
“We love you,” Lionel said as King Charles walked off.
Before Katy wrapped up, adding: “Congratulations. God bless you.”
“That is the royal treatment. I found myself standing up straighter while I was watching that right there,” Ryan quipped.
