Lindsay Lohan, 37, gives birth to her first child and shares little one’s unique name

Actress Lindsay Lohan has given birth to her first child.

The former Disney actress, who fans will know from films such as The Parent Trap, Herbie and Mean Girls, has been married to her husband Bader Shammas since July 2022 and the pair have just welcomed their new arrival.

Lindsay’s representative spoke to Page Six and said: “The family is over the moon in love.”

The couple have decided to name their newborn son Luai, who was born in Dubai.

Lindsay lives out there with her husband Bader and the exact date of Luai’s birth is currently unknown.

The meaning behind the babes adorable name is “shield” or “protector”.

Lohan, 37, announced her pregnancy back in March 2023 and her loyal fans were delighted at the news.

Lindsay has a large fanbase after the actress skyrocketed to fame during her childhood.

The star had a glittering Disney career with cult classic films such as Freaky Friday alongside Jamie Lee Curtis.

Back in 2021, Lindsay announced that she was engaged to her partner Bader Shammas.

In a gushing Instagram post, Lohan wrote: “My love. My life. My family. My future.”

After announcing her pregnancy a year after her wedding, Lohan spoke to Us Weekly about her life-changing news.

She said:  “We are very excited for our new family member to arrive and we are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives.” 

A family insider also told Us Weekly that Lindsay’s pregnancy has actually brought her estranged parents back into each others lives.

They said: “Michael and Dina are coparenting very well. They wanted this for Lindsay for so long.”

Lindsay’s source also said that the Disney star was “always told she couldn’t be a wife, mother actress,” but is happy to prove the haters wrong.

In the past, Lohan has publicly dealt with issues of addiction and partying.

Back in the early 2000s, Lindsay was often pictured out in Hollywood with A-list pals such as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, but Lohan has left her party girl days behind her and is now focussing on family life and raising her son.
