Fans of Love Island seem to think Martin Akinola is already planning to dump Tanya Manhenga after he shared his frustrations with her in intense scenes.
During Friday night’s show (February 17), the islanders were faced with the aftermath of the recoupling which aired on Thursday evening.
With Tanya returning from Casa Amor with Martin despite being coupled with Shaq Muhammad, things were evidently tense between the three islanders.
But as Tanya and Martin discussed the awkward situation, fans seemed to think that Martin was trying to get rid of Tanya with immediate effect.
Taking to Twitter viewers shared their thoughts.
One fan wrote: “Martin already finding beef with Tanya and finding an excuse to dump her cos he was only using her to get back to the Villa.”
Another penned: “Not Martin tryna end it with Tanya already.”
A third said: “Martin already planning his escape from Tanya.”
While a fourth added: “Martin is already mad after one minute in the main villa. He’s gonna recouple when another girl comes in.”
Fans were already suspicious of Martin when he first arrived in the villa after he told presenter Maya Jama that he was “just excited to be here”.
When Maya probed the islander about his connection with Tanya, he appeared to skate around the subject.
On Friday’s show, Martin had a conversation with a heart broken Shaq who is currently single in the villa.
Martin said he wants to see “where his relationship could go” but also mentioned that he’s open to “explore”.
Meanwhile, although Tanya was clearly upset by her ordeal, she also admitted that she wanted to concentrate on Martin and give him the attention he deserves.
But later on when having a conversation with Shaq, Tanya appeared to insinuate that she still wants to work on her relationship with him too.
Watching the triangle unfold, fans shared their thoughts.
One person wrote: “Tanya wants her cuddles back with Shaq but she also can’t show she doesn’t want Martin anymore.”
While another added: “Tanya just said BS. Telling Shaq she will still get to know them both is so disrespectful. You don’t get to decide that booboo.”
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
