Love Island fans left 'confused' as they spot Tanya and Shaq scene has 'gone missing'

Winter Love Island fans were left ‘confused’ after a coupling scene between Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad appeared to be “missing” from the show.

Fans of the popular ITV2 reality dating programme watched as the islanders took part in sports day, with Tanya’s partner Shaq joking with Will about Tom’s team losing.

Shaq could be heard saying: “You’re a grown man, chin up. You go again, get back on the training pitch we go again. It’s alright. It’s just a game. Just winners and losers isn’t it.”

However after Tanya asked Shaq to apologise to Tom when a heated row erupted, Shaq agreed to do so, with Tanya exclaiming: “I have the best boyfriend ever!”

Her declaration left fans confused though, with many taking to social media to ask show bosses if they had missed a scene where Tanya and Shaq became an official couple by saying they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

“I haven’t missed an episode…since when are Shaq and Tanya boyfriend and girlfriend?” asked one fan.

A second questioned: “Did they cut out the scene where Shaq and Tanya became boyfriend and girlfriend or something cause I’m confused?”

“Did Tanya say boyfriend and girlfriend?” penned a third.

“When did Tanya and Shaq become boyfriend and girlfriend? What did I miss?” said a fourth, while a fifth added: “Did we miss Tanya and Shaq becoming boyfriend and girlfriend or?”

It is not the first time that Winter Love Island fans have been left confused over Tanya and Shaq’s relationship status, after Ron Hall asked Lana Jenkins to be his girlfriend, with the islanders becoming the “first official couple.”

However, fans flocked to social media to ask why Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga were not the villa’s first official couple, despite having said “I love you” to one another multiple times.

“How is Ron and Lana the first couple? So Will and Jessie and Shaq and Tanya aren’t a couple?” asked one fan.

“So Tanya and Shaq have said I love you but they’re not bf and gf?” agreed a second, while a third added: “I thought Shaq and Tanya were already bf and gf? Why are people saying Ron and Lana are first.”

A fourth commented: “So all this time Shaq and Tanya ain’t even together? But we’ve heard I love you from them more than I have heard in all Love Islands combined.”

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
