Love Island’s dumped contestant Olivia Hawkins seemingly exposed producers after she revealed clips from Movie Night were edited before being shut down by Maya.
During her chat with host Maya Jama on the spin-off show Aftersun, Olivia told viewers that Samie Elishi’s reaction to her clip being played to the islanders was in fact a reaction to an entirely different clip.
“I think the reaction from Samie, it wasn’t to that clip, so…” Olivia started before she was quickly cut off by Maya who shushed her.

Fans were left feeling confused at Maya’s “sneaky” reaction to Olivia’s admission, with one tweeting: “Anyone else notice the way Maya shut Olivia down when she was exposing the editing of movie night?”
A second replied: “Omg yes I did. So sneaky, weird.”
“Please tell me I’m not the only one that saw Olivia revealing the fakeness of the show and Maya telling her to shush on Aftersun,” a third tweeted, picking up on the awkward moment. “Because Olivia revealed that Samie’s reaction to movie night wasn’t the actual reaction.”
Another fan found it “mad” that Maya would step in so quickly to silence Olivia, writing: “Maya sushing Olivia about them using Samie’s reaction to her on movie night from a different clip is mad.”
Over on Reddit, viewers debated whether Oliva had been “edited badly” resulting in the public voting her and her partner Maxwell Samuda out of the show.
“I’m not saying Olivia is an angel, she certainly did plenty wrong throughout this show. But this is definitely more proof that the manipulation of the editors/producers can have huuuuge effects on the way the islanders come across,” one suggested.
“It makes me question what else they manipulated that made people hate Olivia even more,” they put. “Regardless of what you think of Olivia, I’m happy she had the guts to bring this up live on air.”
Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2
