MasterChef fans slam ‘unfair’ cooking challenge as final four go head to head

Celebrity MasterChef viewers have dubbed the latest cooking challenge “unfair” after the final four were seen going head to head in a kitchen challenge.

Hosts Greg Wallace and John Torode were seen dividing Love Island star Luca Bish and actress Amy Walsh into a team, with remaining two contestants, Black Eyed Peas musician apl.de.ap. and Robin Hood star Michael Praed being pitted up against them.

The two teams were tasked with a breakfast dish – with Luca and Amy cooking up a rosti benedict – which featured a potato pancake, poached egg and asparagus.

Meanwhile, Michael and Apl’s task appeared much more challenging, as they were informed they would be making Japanese soufflé pancakes with poached pear, homemade granola and fruit syrup.

Amy had a ball during her cooking challenge

As the challenge began, Luca and Amy appeared to be waltzing their way through the challenge, while Apl and Michael were struggling.

Fans at home blasted the task, claiming one was clearly harder than the other.

“Feeling a bit sorry for Michael and APL – seem to have a much harder challenge than the red team. Then, again, what do I know about cooking?! Love them. #CelebrityMasterChef,” said one fan.

Later in the episode, the foursome were sent to two different restaurants in central London to work in a professional kitchen.

Yet again fans blasted the division of tasks, with some saying Amy and Apl has easier tasks than Luca and Michael.

“Amy and APL seem to be doing very little cooking in the professional kitchen compared to Michael & Luca,” said one fan – as Luca was seen steaming muscles in a Thai green sauce and Michael whipped up cheeseburger tacos with two sauces.

Amy did feel like my family. I’m grateful that MasterChef brought us back together,” he said.

A third griped: “A soufflé vs a rösti… seems fair,“ while a fourth penned: “doesn’t seem like the challenges are very even does it – one is poaching an egg!”
