Sofia Vergara announces split with husband after seven years of marriage.
The couple made the “difficult decision” to part ways and made the end of their romance public.
The pair told Page Six: ‘We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.’
A source also told the publication: “Sofía and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”

The split comes just four days after his birthday tribute to Sofia came under fire.
Fans dubbed it as “cold” leading many fans to question their relationship status.
He shared a low-resolution photo of him and his wife cuddled up for her 51st birthday.
The Magic Mike star captioned it: “¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!”
Fans flooded the comments as they shared their concern for the couple.

One wrote: “Joe, I hope you guys are ok, that was a very different(cold) happy birthday wish to your wife, compare to previous ones!. [sad face emoji]”
A second said: “Something is definitely up. He hasn’t commented on her photos she’s been posted. hmmm…….”

The Hollywood pair were first spotted dating back in July 2014, after they tried to keep their romance under wraps a month prior after going on secret dates.
At the time, she said: “You know, I’m just having a great time. It’s a special time in my life, and I’m trying not to think too much about it.”
