Joe Swash has revealed his wife Stacey Solomon’s adorable reaction when he signed up for I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.
The 41-year-old is set to be back on TV screens as part of the new I’m A Celeb spin-off series – dubbed the All-Stars version.
Joe, who shot to fame on EastEnders, first appeared on the OG show back in 2008 where he was crowned King Of The Jungle.

But fast forward to now, and Joe is returning for the brand new series, dubbed the All-Stars version, and will be a late addition to the 2023 camp – which so far includes the likes of Carol Vorderman and Janice Dickinson.
In Tuesday’s episode (May 2) the soap star will surprise the jungle celebs when he rocks up to camp with his ex-EastEnders co-star Dean Gaffney.
And in a new interview ahead of his arrival, Joe shared the sweet reaction his wife Stacey Solomon had when he told her he was heading back onto ITV show.
Speaking about what the show means to him, he said: “I’m A Celebrity holds a big place in my heart. I won it and I was lucky enough to go on to present the spin-off series on ITV2 for ten years. I met Stacey whilst I was out in Australia and me and Stacey have now married and we have had kids. Doing the all-stars series is closure. It finishes off the circle.”
He added: “Stacey is over the moon about me doing it. The jungle holds a big part in both our hearts. Without the jungle, we wouldn’t have each other. In a way, we owe it to the jungle to say goodbye.”
Joe shares Rex, three, and Rose, 17 months, with Stacey, 33, as well as Harry, 16, with his ex-partner Emma Sophocleous.
Although fresh faces will be heading into camp, one of the campmates will also be leaving the show relatively soon.
At the end of Monday night’s programme (May 1), presenters Ant and Dec made their way into the camp to deliver the unexpected news.
Dec said: “We bring news. For one of you, this will be your last night in camp. But this time, who that is, is up to you.”
This will be the first time in the show’s history that campmates will choose who they send home.
Sharing their thoughts on the twist, fans headed straight over to Twitter, with one writing: “WOW what a twist! So it’s the first proper eviction of the series as the campmates decide someone’s fate. I wonder who will be next to leave the camp?”
