The Chase star Bradley Walsh couldn’t believe the ending he witnessed during the latest instalment of the ITV quiz show.
Bradley, 63, welcomed Craig, Louisa, Harry and Anna into the studio for Thursday’s (October 5) episode, with the four players hoping to win some cash. Contestant Craig, 50, was the first to face Paul Sinha, 53, and put on an impressive performance in the cash builder, earning £7,000.
The sports scientist stuck with his original offer and sailed through to the final chase with absolutely no problems. Up next was 42-year-old Louisa who answered three questions correctly in the first round, taking her into the head-to-head with £3,000.

Despite having The Sinnerman hot on her tail, Louisa took the team’s total to £10,000. Following Louisa was Harry, who Paul later claimed was a regular watcher of the ITV quiz show.
Harry was offered £50,000 but decided to play it safe, and like his co-stars, went for the middle offer of £5,000. A pattern was forming as the 21-year-old law student also made it through to the final chase. The final player to battle it out with the Chaser was Anna, a 31-year-old content marketer from Oxford.
Despite fans tipping her to take the low offer, Anna stuck with the £5,000 she earned in the cash builder. Paul was just one spot behind Anna before it came to the final question, but luckily, she managed to join her co-stars in the final chase, taking the team’s total to £21,000. The Chaser knew he had a challenge on his hands, telling Bradley: “I think they’re going to do well.
“The main reason I think they’re going to do well is because I’ve been watching Harry very closely. He’s watched the show before. he knows the tactics inside out and he’s a student at York university,” adding he is aware that “half the student population” watch The Chase.
The team of four answered 18 questions right in the final chase, with Harry jumping in and securing a final point in the last second. Paul had just one second left when he jumped in with an incorrect answer, sending the group home with £5,250 each.
“An unbelievable ending to the match,” quipped Bradley before Paul congratulated the team on their “thoroughly deserved” win. Viewers went wild over the scenes on social media, with one writing: “#TheChase wow they’ve won! 1 second too lol.”
A second added: “F*****g hell that was tight. Get in there #TheChase.” Another fan declared: “Wow close call! Good team #TheChase.” A fourth chipped in: “I get so excited when people beat the Chaser as if the money is going in my pocket”. Echoing this, someone else shared: “What an epic finale that was, me and my dad both swore at the telly when Paul spat that answer out at the last second only for it to be wrong, brilliant telly”.
