Tilly Ramsay has expressed her disappointment at having to pull out of this year’s London Marathon due to an ankle injury.
The 21-year old daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay had hoped to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital by taking part in the 26-mile event.
However, her hopes were dashed following advice from her doctor, who gave her the “strict advice” to rest for six to eight weeks, therefore meaning she will miss next month’s run.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Tilly took to Instagram on to reveal the news to her 1.2 million followers alongside a snap of herself wearing a fracture brace walking boot.
“This last week has been a hugely disappointing one. I’m gutted to confirm that sadly, due to injury, I’m unable to run the London Marathon 2023 for GOSH,” she began.
“A consistent pain in my left ankle has been confirmed by my Doctor as a stress fracture, which means this annoying boot (!) and, under strict advice, 6 – 8 weeks rest and recovery.
“I’m truly so sad to not be able to run as planned, for a charity that means so much to me and my family, however I am very much dedicated to continuing my support for this amazing event.”
