Tom Cruise, 60, wants King Charles to be his “wingman” as the actor made a special cameo at the Coronation Concert.
The Hollywood heartthrob made a special appearance at the concert of weekend as he appeared in a pre-recorded segment that aired during the event at Windsor Castle on Sunday (May 7).
In his stint, Tom was seen gliding through the sky on a plane as he delivered a heartfelt tribute to the king, 74, who had been crowned beside Queen Camilla, 75, on Saturday (May 6).

Tom – who is believed to have years of piloting experience – was filmed in one of the aircraft’s featured in the film Top Gun: Maverick, as he asked the king: “Pilot to pilot, Your Majesty, you can be my wingman any time”.
The special segment also included Pierce Brosnan, 69, and Bear Grylls, 48, who discussed the “action man skills” that King Charles has acquired throughout his life.

Former James Bond star Pierce admitted that he “got his wings as a fully-trained RAF pilot” decades ago, while Bear added that King Charles “even took on the Royal Marines’ commando training”.
Tom’s cameo comes after he was spotted alongside Prince William, 40, and Princess Kate, 41, at the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick, which was held in London just last year.
The actor had reprised his role as pilot Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell in the project, a highly-awaited sequel to the film Top Gun, which had been released in 1986.

Elsewhere in the Coronation Concert and the Prince of Wales, William had paid tribute to his “Pa” King Charles, saying the late Queen Elizabeth II would be “a proud mother”.
Addressing the crowds at Windsor Castle for the Coronation concert, William said his grandmother was “up there, fondly keeping an eye on us”.
He said this weekend was “so important” because it was all about service.

Highlighting King Charles’ achievements over the last 50 years, William said: “Pa, we are all so proud of you.”
The future king also made his own vow to the nation as William added: “I commit to serve you all. King, country and Commonwealth.”
