TV presenter Anne Diamond has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
In an interview with GB News on Thursday (June 8), 68-year-old Anne held back tears as she opened up about her diagnosis, which she described as being a “hell of a journey”.
Anne, who is also a presenter on GB News, spoke to her colleague Dan Wootton as she recalled how doctors gave the news on the same day she was awarded an OBE.

Anne told viewers tuning it: “You’re often taught that if something good happens to you, something terrible happens, to slap you back.”
She revealed how she had been off the air for almost six months throughout the discovery and has since undergone a double mastectomy.
Adding: “This is the first time I’ve talked about it, so it’s quite difficult. The first operation I had was nine hours long. I don’t remember it, I was in and out.
“It was nine hours of removal and rebuild that took a long time to get over. I then had a lumpectomy just to make sure they can trace the travel if the cancer has at all.”
Anne, who is a much-loved British presenting icon when it comes to morning TV following her stints on TV-am and Good Morning Britain in the late eighties, is currently receiving treatment for the illness.
However, she confessed to Dan that she would make a return to screens this weekend to present Breakfast with Stephen Dixon on the channel on Saturday (June 10).
The mother-of-five added that she has “no advice to give” to fellow cancer sufferers as she is still learning every day.
After finding fame on the BBC in the late seventies, Anne has gone on to appear on multiple other shows.
In 2002, she took part in the second series of Celebrity Big Brother, but became the second person to be evicted.
From 2003, Anne was a panellist and stand-in presenter on The Wright Stuff and from 2018 on its successor Jeremy Vine.
She has been a regular on radio and has appeared as a panellist on ITV’s Loose Women.
