Vanessa Feltz's ‘heart stopped pumping’ after break-up from fiancé of 16 years Ben Ofoedu

TalKTV presenter Vanessa Feltz has made some shocking confessions following her break-up from ex-fiancé Ben Ofoedu.

The This Morning star admitted that she felt like her heart “stomped pumping” and felt “very sad” after news of her and Ben’s, 50, split after he reportedly “cheated” following a 16-year-long relationship.

It comes after Vanessa, 60, discovered evidence that she believed proved her former fiancé had “cheated” on her with several women.

Vanessa told listeners: “People who have been reading about my private life over the weekend will know that my 16-year relationship has come to an end.

“I have said, I’m very sad. I’m very shocked, but I am going to soldier forth. I hope to rise like a phoenix from the ashes and all of that.”

She added: “Meanwhile, I’m feeling that brokenhearted thing, you know where your heart hurts. You know, you feel as if you know the blood’s kind of stopping pumping halfway round.

“Then you kind of take a bit of a breath and shake a little bit, then it starts pumping again.”

Vanessa addressed the split on the weekend and took to a video on Instagram where she told fans: “I’ve missed you.

“I haven’t been on Instagram for three days and that’s because my relationship with Ben is over after 16 years.”

She added: “I didn’t know what to say to you on Instagram. But, now it’s clear that it’s over, I really believe that once the trust is gone in a relationship that it’s over and you can’t really get it back.

“So I just wanted to say obviously I feel incredibly sad and I’m pretty disappointed, and I’m shocked.

“It’s a pretty horrible thing but, also, I’m full of resolve. I’m not going to let this defeat me.”

Vanessa finished by adding: “I am so glad to be living longer than my mum did, she died at 57 and for the Lord’s prayers, I am going to be 61 next month.

“I am very very grateful to be alive and I want to carry on feeling that way and I want to celebrate and find fun and laughter anywhere I can.

“I know it is not going to be easy but I am absolutely determined to do it.”
