Now, in an exclusive interview with Daily Star, former contestant Danielle Brown has lifted the lid on what it was to take part on the beloved noughties game show.
The teacher-turned-therapist explained how contestants were treated to a week’s stay at a nearby hotel where they filmed for games in one day for the entire week.
She exclaimed: “We filmed for a week, so it was about four shows a day and it was quite intense because obviously it’s a completely new experience.
“I got to appear on 20 of the shows, because before that you’re opening other people’s boxes”, she added.
“One week we had a love-themed week where we all got to dress up as castle people where I dressed up as a queen. They called me Lady Danielle [throughout the show], so that was fun.”
The current Ms Great Britain contestant went on to reveal one of the TV rituals that all the contestants took part in after each game ended on the show.
She explained: “After the show what happens is the person who’s just done their show, we all get in a circle and we all just talk about their game with the rest of the contestants.”
Danielle went on to reveal that the telly producers put up each contestant in a comfortable nearby hotel close to the studios.

The TV personality continued: “It was really lovely actually, we all had our own rooms we would eat together in the evenings and have drinks together in the hotel.
“We met everyone’s family members who were up visiting because people get their game around the 20th mark.
“So around them family members travel up to see them just in case they get selected for their game because you don’t know the exact time you’re going to get selected but its from the 20th onwards.”
