Zak Bagans was left physically “shaking” as he came face to face with the “most haunted item in the world”.
In a recent episode of Really reality show Deadly Possessions, Jason Haxton brought the Dibbuk Box to Zak – which he had kept buried in a military-grade box his back yard for years due to its notoriety.
The box was allegedly made by a Holocaust survivor “as a way to deal with her grief and loss from the war”.

The survivor is said to have fled Nazi Poland and sought refuge in Spain before creating the box.
But entirely by accident, she may have created “an attachment with something very dark”.
Its previous owner thought the box may have contributed to his mother’s death, and Jason was determined to get to the bottom of it with Zak’s assistance.
Upon seeing the box for the first time, Zak begged: “Oh god. Please tell me that’s a replica. Why am I already shaking?”
The box seemed simple enough, constructed from wood with two brass handles forming a wardrobe-style opening on the front and some scratches to the sheen.
Jason explained: “This is the first time it’s been removed from Missouri in 12 years, since it arrived.”
Zak said of the item: “This box is used to contain evil spirits.”
But what wasn’t clear was how many the box currently contains.
A Dybbuk comes from the Jewish faith, and is a “spirit that has unfinished business”, Jason said.
He explained it “possesses a person to finish out whatever it didn’t finish.”

Kevin Mannis, the box’s first owner, said on the show that he believed the box had a hand in killing his mother. He gave it to her as a present without knowing what it contained.
He claimed she suffered a stroke shortly after opening the box doors, which took her speech and 80% of her eyesight.
The box’s influence didn’t stop there, however, as rapper Post Malone headed to Zak’s Haunted Museum to look at it – with his fans quick to blame his spate of bad luck on interaction with the cabinet.
However, in 2021, Kevin Mannis admitted to Input magazine that the story behind the box was entirely made up.
