Giving the interview to the fashion magazine, the Les Misérables star stunned as she donned a number of classy looks to show off her new vixen-esque approach. One look saw the Princess Diaries legend sport an asymmetrical black dress with a single strap going over the shoulder that hugged the actress’ curves.
A second look from the photoshoot saw Anne risk a wardrobe malfunction as her statement piece left a huge gap at the front. Speaking about her ensembles, she explained that her fashion correlates with her recent self discovery.
“One of the privileges of being an actress is that you never need to confine or limit your identity,” she told the fashion magazine. “I feel fluid, and I am constantly evolving; I like to explore who I am.”
Another image from the photoshoot saw Anne don a loose-fit cream satin minidress, with the low-cut threatening another wardrobe malfunction. However, Anne embraced the chaos in, choosing to clutch the bottom of her dress as she immersed herself in the shoot.
The star’s risqué images come amid an unearthed interview from 2011, which revealed the star had initially wanted become a nun. Anne was raised in a Catholic household and admitted her faith played a huge part in her life, which was responsible for her desire to enter into a convent.
“When I was younger, I thought about becoming a nun for a while,” she told the Independent at the time. “You know how it is when you’re growing up and you’re going to be a lot of different things, but I actually wanted to be an actress before I wanted to be a nun. The nun was more of a sidebar thing.”
However, despite her Catholic upbringing, Anne would go on to leave the church after her older brother came out as being gay. She explained that instead of abandoning religion altogether, the family converted to Episcopalianism, adding: “Why should I support an organisation that has a limited view of my brother?”
Anne’s interview with the fashion mag comes after celebrity stylist Emanuel Miller admitted that Anne was a difficult person to work with. Describing the collaboration as “one of his worst experiences”, the stylist told Julian Morgan’s podcast that whilst working with her on The Princess Diaries, there were no personal conversations between the two – with Emanuel’s daughter acting as a stand-in.
