Lisa Armstrong was supported by fans as she posted a touching tribute on Instagram just a day before ex Ant McPartlin celebrated the arrival of his first child.
The 47-year-old Strictly Come Dancing makeup guru shared an emotional post, featuring a picture of her late dad Derek’s grave, marking five years since he passed away.
The moving inscription on the memorial stone read: “In loving memory of Dot Armstrong tragically taken on 29.6.1992 and Derek John Armstrong 12.4.1948 – 13.5.2019. Sadly missed husband, dad and grampy. Forever in our hearts.”

Lisa captioned the heartfelt post with: “My heart…. 5 years #MyDegs #MyHero,” along with several heartbreak emojis. Her Insta fam and celeb pals were quick to jump into the comments to show their love and support.

TV star Vanessa Feltz dropped a comment saying: “So sorry sweetheart,” and another fan chimed in with: “Oh Lise. So sad. He was a lovely man. Sending you my love.” Lizzie Cundy added a heart and prayer hands emoji, while funnyman Alan Carr scattered a bunch of heart emojis.
Lisa has been open about her sorrow, often marking significant dates such as her dad’s birthday and the anniversary of his passing with tributes, reports the Express. Back in 2020, she shared a poignant reflection on their bond, accompanied by a snapshot of Derek, on the first anniversary of his death.

She penned: “I can’t believe one year has passed. It still seems so unreal. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you, your smile, your laugh, your encouragement and most of all your love. Will always be Daddy’s girl.”
Wrapping up the heartfelt message from years past, she added: “My heart broke this day last year. RIP. My Dad. My hero.” It comes after Lisa dropped a mysterious quote on her Instagram page as Ant became a dad for the firs time last week.

The 48-year-old telly star and his missus Anne-Marie McPartlin shared their joy on Insta with the birth announcement of their little one. “Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess,” he gushed online. The arrival of their son sent waves of well-wishes from their celeb mates and fans.
At the same time, Lisa chucked a cryptic message about “battle” onto her Instagram Stories. The post read: “Be proud of how you have been handling these past few months. The silent battles you’ve fought, the moments you’ve had to humble yourself, the times you’ve wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength.”
