YouTube star Yung Filly is already due to appear in court charged with raping a woman, but the rap star is now set to appear before a judge for a second crime of reckless driving
Yung Filly has been charged with reckless driving after being caught speeding in Australia.
YouTuber Yung Filly – who is known in the UK for his appearances on the BBC and Soccer Aid – was stopped by police down under after he was seen driving at 158 kilometres per hour (98mph). It comes as he is due to appear in court charged with the rape of a woman.
The online star, 29, was driving along the highway close to the Aussie city of Perth last month when he was seen barrelling down the road. He was then stopped by police and arrested for reckless driving.

The incident took place on November 17 in the High Wycombe area of Perth. Police told the BBC that a 29-year-old man had since been charged with reckless driving, but did not name the man, whose real name is Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos.
According to the police, the area in which Andrés was arrested has a speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour, or 62 miles per hour. After being detained by officers, the YouTuber’s car was impounded.
Yung Filly, who has also dabbled in the music industry, will now appear in court charged in connection with reckless driving next Thursday (December 19). However, this will not be the only charge he will appear before a judge for, as he faces an allegation of raping a woman.
On top of his speeding charges, Andrés will appear in court charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure on or to their neck. The alleged incident took place in Perth earlier this year.
Media personality Yung Filly is accused of bringing a woman in her 20s back to his hotel room after a performance at a nightclub in the western Australian city. The star, whose rapping career had been taking off, had been performing for fans at the Bar1 club in Perth when the alleged incident took place.
Following the allegations, a number of Yung Filly’s YouTube co-stars have spoken out, including good pal Chunkz. In a statement released on his social media, fellow rapper Chunkz said: “Whilst I understand many of you want my reaction on it, as this is an ongoing court case I hope you guys can understand that I can’t and won’t be commenting on it publicly.”
Yung Filly had been branching out into TV work at the time the allegations were made, appearing on the likes of Channel 4’s Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer, as well as the BBC Three show Beta Squad. His music has also been recognised, as he won a MOBO Award for Best Media Personality back in 2021.
