An unexpected romance could be on the horizon in Coronation Street, with Dee-Dee Bailey and another local resident.
Dee-Dee, brought to life by Channique Sterling-Brown, has quickly won over fans since her first appearance in 2022. However, she’s still in the dark about her fiancé Joel Deering, played by Calum Lill, leading a secret life.
Joel, initially introduced as a nice guy, has recently shown his sinister side. It was revealed that he was behind the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
He lured Lauren into a sexual relationship after financially supporting her, then left her for dead following a heated row where Lauren mentioned Dee-Dee’s name.
Lauren, however, resurfaced in Weatherfield after being missing for several months, disclosing to Joel that she was carrying his child. Joel has since attempted to keep her quiet by providing her with a place to stay at his old flat and offering to fund her relocation to Ireland for a new beginning, reports the Express.
In a shocking twist, Joel gave Lauren drugs to trigger early labour, leading to the birth of their baby boy last week. Luckily, both Lauren and the baby pulled through, but Dee-Dee remains unaware of Joel’s true nature. Recent episodes have seen her picking up on his distracted demeanour.
Corrie fans have been whipped into a frenzy, brewing up juicy theories after Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson) comeback to Weatherfield sparked speculation about a sizzling storyline with Dee-Dee Bailey. On a Corrie fan page on Facebook, one eager viewer spluttered: “Adam is back. yay… hope he gets a good storyline.”
The chatter really kicked off as devotees started to predict some steamy action between Dee-Dee and the Weatherfield regular. One fan pitched in: “Adam will end up with Dee Dee.”
Then another joined: “Brilliant, him and Dee Dee had a bit of a flirt if I remember rightly so he’ll be there for her when she finds out about Joel.” Soap watchers are leaning into the idea of an illicit affair, with one posting: “What if they had an affair? Joel would flip!”.
Another backing this plot line, expressing: “I could see this happening.” One fan dismissed the notion of an affair altogether, writing: “I don’t think she would ever do that, but I wouldn’t care, please just leave him!”.
