One Coronation Street actress has been supported by her co-stars after appearing to confirm her permanent exit.
Savannah Kunyo first appeared as Stu’s granddaughter Eliza Woodrow in 2022, but after two years in the ITV soap she’s quit, with her character heading to Germany to live with her dad Dom – despite Stu’s efforts to keep her close. Now behind the scenes, her co-stars have handed her leaving presents in a sweet gesture.
Sam Blakeman star Jude Riordan took to Instagram to pose with Savannah, alongside Isabella Flanagan, who plays Hope Stape on the cobbles. Savannah was handed a bouquet of flowers along with a pink gift bag as Jude shot the camera a thumbs-up.

He wrote alongside the snap: “We miss you lots Savannah, had the best times!” He included hashtags including #CorrieKids and #3Amigos as fans took to the comments section to speculate over Savannah’s exit. One said: “Awh I miss her, has she left?”
“I reckon Stu and Eliza will move to Germany for good,” someone else said. Another suggested: “Aww she left for good? Just thought it was for the storyline, gutted, you were brilliant.”
A fourth social media user posted: “What a great young actress she is, hopefully she will come back with her granddad Stu.” And someone else said: “Best of luck with the future lovely!”
The star confirmed several weeks ago on social media: “My Corrie friends will always hold a place in my heart.”
Savannah isn’t the only famous one in her family. While Isabella stars in Corrie alongside her brother William Flanagan – Joseph Brown on the cobbles – Savannah’s sister Paris has also played an unnamed character on the cobbles, and filmed a TikTok dance video outside Roy’s Rolls with the Eliza star.
As well as being a talented actress, Savannah is also a singer, and in a shocking turn of events Savannah also once played Hope Stape in Corrie as a stand-in for Isabella during certain scenes. Her mum confirmed this on social media with a throwback snap, writing: “Throwback to a little Savannah and Isabella both playing Hope Stape in Coronation Street, cuties!”

Savannah may have stepped in for Isabella due to the rule about how long child stars can spend filming, and the pair looked identical in matching outfits and brunette pigtails. All children and babies working in TV and film need a license, obtained from their local authority.
This states how many hours a day they can work – but babies are never allowed on set more than five hours a day. Parents can expect to earn between £70 and £2,500 for their child’s work, depending on what the footage is used for.
