Dancing on Ice and EastEnders star’s daughter rushed to hospital after nasty skating injury

Dancing on Ice’s Vicky Ogden and Sam Attwater’s daughter was rushed to hospital with a nasty injury.

Sam, best known for playing Leon Small on EastEnders in 2010, revealed his eight-year-old daughter Rosie had sliced her head open while ice skating. The former soap star shared an update with fans on Instagram, posting a photo of Rosie’s wound.

He wrote: “Spent the afternoon in A+E with Rosie today. This is what happens when you do gymnastics and ice skating and are incredibly flexible.”

Alongside a photo of Rosie in the back of the car, the 37-year-old assured his followers: “She’s all good! Thank you for all who messaged and the nurses who looked after her. How amazing is the NHS.”

Ice skating is in Rosie’s blood as her mum Vicky has been a professional skater on Dancing on Ice since 2012. Sam was also crowned winner of the competition in 2011 alongside Brianne Delcourt.

The couple tied the knot later that year. As well as Rosie, Sam and Vicky share five-year-old Daisy. Vicky is currently partnered with Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards on the current series of the ITV competition.

Sunday (February 18) saw the sixth live show kick off as the seven remaining celebrities took to the ice. Eddie, 60 and Vicky landed second from bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 32.5 out of 40.

The ski jumper managed to avoid the skate off however, as former EastEnders star Ricky Norwood and Love Island’s Amber Davies landed in the bottom two. The judges opted to save Amber as Ricky was sent packing.
