Dancing On Ice viewers were left miffed during the latest episode of the new series.
ITV viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent their frustrations as the second live show of the 2024 series kicked off. This week, six more celebs laced up their skates in a bid to wow the judges and viewers at home.
Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill were back with their scores and feedback. Meanwhile, hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern welcomed Coronation Street’s Claire Sweeney, EastEnders’ Ricky Norwood, Made in Chelsea’s Miles Nazaire, comedian Lou Sanders, Eddie “the Eagle” Edwards and DJ Adele Roberts onto the ice.
However, after Corrie’s Claire and her pro partner Colin Grafton had performed, the show cut to an ad break. With only one act having performed, fans were peeved, claiming there were too many ad breaks – just like last week.
One disgruntled viewer posted: “I do love @dancingonice but come on it’s only been on 10 mins and it’s time for a break.” Another chimed in: “Ffs a break already,” while a third asked: “Whats with the ads? Problems in the studio?”
Chiming in, one fan said: “The ads after ever performance does my head on,” while another exclaimed: “First ad break 11 minutes in.” One couple will get the boot from Strictly during Sunday’s results show, following the public vote and the judges’ final decision.
During last week’s episode, it was revealed that Ricky Hatton might be sent packing from the show after being placed in jeopardy through the first dance-off. Six celebs shimmied their way onto the stage last Sunday including Amber Davies, Greg Rutherford, Hannah Spearritt, Ricky, Roxy Shahidi and Ryan Thomas.

One of these stars strutted into the dance-off, while the rest twirled smoothly into the second lap of the ITV dancing show. Ricky, confronting his dance-off battle, confessed he expected it, saying: “I should have never been here, but it’s another week of practice. And we’ll just practice and hopefully get another chance to make people smile again.”
