EastEnders fans were left saying the same thing as they tuned into Whitney and Zack’s wedding.
During Monday’s (May 20) episode, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Zack Hudson (James Farrar) were a vision of happiness with their baby daughter Dolly but Zack’s bliss is short-lived when Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) arrived home with Britney Wainwright (Lola Campbell).
Zack made his excuses to speak to Britney alone where he pleaded with the youngster to keep quiet about his passionate clinch with Lauren Branning (Jacquline Jossa) but the pair are sidelined when Zack realised he failed to tell the Square that him and Whitney had postponed their wedding due to Dolly’s unexpected arrival.

Back at the flat, Whitney worried about Britney’s behaviour and thought it was because of Dolly’s arrival but Zack reasoned it’s because of the cancelled wedding. Whitney later decided to get married later that day as planned. Lauren arrived at No.25 as Whitney was getting ready and is filled with guilt after the best friends shared a heart-to-heart before the wedding.
Elsewhere, Zack was also overcome with guilt but he covered to Martin Fowler (James Bye) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean). Britney was given food for thought after Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) brought her up to speed on Whitney’s previous heartache and she contemplated whether to keep Zack’s secret
Later that day, Whitney walked down the aisle with baby Dolly and Britney joined them at the alter as the couple said their vows, but the young girl can’t contain herself and revealed that Zack and Lauren slept together during the ceremony.
However, fans were more distracted by the size of baby Dolly. who is meant to be just five days old. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: Wow that’s a big baby for 5 days old @bbceastenders. She looks more like a 2 mth old, my granddaughter was born 4 weeks ago and is half the size of ‘Dolly’ #eastenders”
Another added: “Dolly is the biggest 5 day old baby I’ve ever seen #EastEnders.” A third person agreed: “The biggest shock is the size of 5 day old Dolly!” Shona McGarty confirmed her departure from the iconic show last July, having joined EastEnders in 2008, but confessed it was not an easy decision.

She further explained: “It was a really difficult decision, because it’s all I’ve ever known. I pretty much grew up on the Square, so I feel like I’m leaving home. But I had to put on my big girl pants and be quite brave, because life is so short, and you feel that more and more as you get older.”
The actress expressed her desire to explore other opportunities in the industry before reaching an age where she might be overlooked. Speaking to the Sun, she added that once “I’d made [the decision to leave], I was quite resolute that this was something I had to do. I mean, 16 years is amazing. I’ve had a really good run and Whitney needs a break.”
