Emmerdale’s very own Liam Fox has revealed a secret talent as he joins forces with EastEnders icon Charlie Brooks for an exciting new gig.
Talking candidly on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain (April 18), the soap stars spilled the beans about their roles in the upcoming Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tour, kicking off on 30 April. Liam Fox, best known for his role as Dan Spencer in Emmerdale, is set to take the stage as Grandpa Potts, while EastEnders’ notorious Janine Butcher, played by Charlie Brooks, will transform into The Childcatcher.
When hosts Ed Balls and Kate Garraway asked actor Liam about his musical venture, the star said he feels incredibly lucky. He said: “I’m a singer now! You know what, I feel so lucky to come on this show and get to do these amazing songs, play such an iconic character… it’s like gold dust really.”

His co-star Charlie, who was also sitting beside him, didn’t hold back on the compliments. She chimed: “Oh, you’re brilliant!”
This news follows the emotional departure of Liam’s character from Emmerdale last summer, where Dan faced an eight-year prison sentence after a fateful punch went horribly wrong. In a dramatic storyline last year, Dan lashed out at Amelia’s cyberbully, Lloyd, leaving him with a serious head injury.
Dan pleaded guilty to the charges without twigging that Lloyd had already been declared dead at the hospital. In shocking courtroom scenes, Dan was given a hefty eight-year stretch behind bars for manslaughter.
Emmerdale fans were gutted to see actor Liam Fox, 53, say goodbye to the Dales after an incredible 12 years playing his role. Following his departure, the star took to social media with a heartfelt: “Thank you @ itv @itvxofficial @emmerdale for 12 years of incredible memories… I’ll miss you all, but for now at least it’s time for new adventures..”
“@daisycampbellofficial @kelli.hollis @alicyaeyo @lukeroskell @bhaskerpatel @fionawade1 @rebeccasarker @laura_norts @natalieannjamieson @j_downham Et Al… love you all! But I need this break, I need to face the fear! Who knows what the future holds! ! ! ! ” he penned, alongside a bunch of love hearts.
Meanwhile, in EastEnders, Charlie said her goodbyes in 2022 when her alter ego Janine got nicked by the police for trying to stitch up Linda Carter. The festive season went out with a bang as Mick Carter seemed to have met his maker, waving goodbye to Albert Square after nine years.
