A blood-fulled Netflix show has given viewers nightmares.
Over in the Netflix Bangers group on Facebook, someone asked if Dexter is “a good show to binge watch,” to which many replied “absolutely,” “hell yes” and
“It is many seasons long. Will take a while but it is good,” said one streamer as another wrote: “I don’t remember much of that show but I remember John Lithgow getting enraged […] haunts me to this day.”

Someone branded the show “best series ever made,” another keen Dexter fan added: “One of the best! Enjoy,” while a third wrote: “So good.” Many agreed that they “absolutely loved the show,” that they have “watched three times and still see new stuff” and that Netflix users “won’t regret” starting the show.
The Netflix description reads: “Mild-mannered Dexter Morgan works for the police department as a blood-spatter analyst but moonlights as a murderer who only targets other killers.” It stars Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, Christina Robinson, Desmond Harrington and Julie Benz.
The crime drama series originally aired on Showtime from 2006 until 2013 and the series is set in Miami. Dexter follows the main character’s life working for the Miami Metro Police Department while he leads a parallel life tracking down other murderers who he believes haven’t been properly punished.
Dexter’s first season was based of the book Darkly Dreaming Dexter, which was released in 2004 and written by Jeff Lindsay. The show has gained huge popularity since it’s release and widespread praise from critics and viewers alike.
It has won two Golden Globes for two stars throughout the show’s eight season run. A ten episode limited series titled Dexter: New Blood was announced back in 2020 and later in January 2023, a prequel series was announced also.
The latter will reportedly follow Dexter in his younger years while just starting out in the Miami Metro Police Department.
