Disgraced Huw Edwards could land a new job in prison where ‘s*** will hit the fan’, according to a reformed inmate.
The former BBC presenter, 62, pleaded guilty to accessing child abuse images last week and he could be jailed at his sentencing in September.
This was after he admitted to being sent indecent images of children via WhatsApp – including sexual videos of a boy aged between seven and nine. In total he received 41 child abuse images by paedophile Alex Williams.

And as Edwards awaits a decision on his future, we spoke to former prisoner Rich Jones who offered insight into how the notorious newsman could cope inside.
Rich is a former British Army veteran who served in the same prison as Kenneth Noye after getting seven years for conspiracy to supply cocaine.
The drug dealer turned author told the Daily Star: “I think the biggest problems for him will be if or when anyone comes to visit him – visits for someone who is now this infamous character because of his offence.
“Will people come and see him? That is when s*** will hit the fan and is anyone loyal to him? Will anyone see him and if they do they are going to be wired up with people on the outside? It will be an interesting journey for him.”
Edwards is accustomed to broadcasting major news stories (such as the Queen’s death) to millions of people – but he could soon have a new audience.
This is according to Rich who believes the paedophile would find employment in jail if he was to end up there for his punishment.
He said: “With him being a BBC news presenter, I dare say he will be quite up there on his English literature and stuff like that so he could probably end up getting a half decent job in education teaching English or not teaching but at least being a mentor. He will be put to use anyway.”
Rich believes Edwards would be sent straight to a VP wing (vulnerable prisoner unit) because of his high-profile and the nature of his crime.
He said it will be the “same sort of atmosphere as Rolf Harris going in” initially but that it would soon calm down.
“I think he would go in there and get his head down,” he added. “I think it will be more associated with how he is going to handle the fall from grace from his reputation.
“The higher you are – the harder you have to fall when you hit the deck. And it is a massive fall from grace.
“Once he settles in there he will be the same as any other prisoner on that particular wing and he will be greeted the same way. There will be some hype and I expect the staff will be advised not to let anyone know where he is because there will be security issues.”
Edwards – who admitted three charges of making indecent images of children – is currently on bail and will next appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 16.
