Laura Hamilton’s This Morning future revealed as show scrapped last minute

Laura Hamilton has discussed her future on This Morning after her dating show was axed.

Last year, the TV star was about to launch a brand new ITV show that was scrapped at last minute, after it was claimed a member of the production team had an inappropriate relationship with a spin-off show contestant.

The Place In The Sun host had been filming the reality programme in Barbados when filming reportedly came to a halt after an internal enquiry had been launched. Now, Laura has opened up about returning to the ITV daytime show- a role where in which she has starred as an on and off host for some time.

Speaking to The Sun, Laura confirmed that she was very much still part of the This Morning family and that her recent absent is nothing more than just conflicting schedules.

She told the publication: “I love This Morning, I was only filming last week one of their competitions and I’ve got bits and pieces I’m always putting forward to them.”

Laura added: ‘They have asked me to do a few bits and pieces but I haven’t been available for it. I done the marathon that took up a lot of my time and obviously I’ve been filming the new series of A Place in the Sun.”

Laura’s ITV dating show was axed last year

“It’s not that This Morning haven’t asked me to do anything I’ve just not been available, which has been frustrating,” commented the host. Laura’s dating show was put on the back burner after reports surfaced about a fling.

According to reports, the staff member involved has since resigned from the programme. At the time of the allegations, it was reported by the same publication that ITV chiefs had been left “furious” over the scandal.

A source said: “Bosses were furious when it came to their attention that a producer had an affair with the contestant, especially in light of this year’s This Morning scandal and controversy.

‘It meant that there was another investigation into what happened in Barbados that had to be carried out. It was disappointing to senior members of staff. The producer promptly resigned.”

An ITV Spokesperson commented: “We are unable to comment on the details of any specific employment-related matters. ITV sets out and upholds very clear policies with regards to raising concerns and work-related conduct amongst our people.”
