Love Island 2024 stars’ famous connections – Strictly fave, Piers Morgan and Loose Woman

Love Island is back – but it appears some of the 2024 cast have some rather famous connections on the outside world.

A brand new batch of sexy singletons will all be strutting their stuff in the famous villa hoping to clock eyes and fall in love. Telly beauty Maya Jama is back at the reins of the new series of the hit ITV2 dating show.

Last year’s series was won by Jess Harding and Sammy Root, but their romance didn’t last long once the show came to an end. Runners-up Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki are still going strong, though.

And it’s not just love that the islanders might land while on the programme – some will likely be catapulted to stardom. But many of the 2024 contestants have already had brushes with fame in the past.

Before setting foot in the villa some stars have previously rubbed shoulders with celebrities, from Strictly stars to even Piers Morgan. So, with the new series kicking off on Monday (June 3), Daily Star has taken a deep dive inside the Islander’s famous connections with celebrities

Ayo Odukoya

Model and footballer Ayo Odukoya is another singleton hoping to find love on the show. Hailing from East London, Ayo says he’ll be bringing “excitement and joy” to the villa

And it seems he already moves in the same circle of some past iconic islanders. Chatting about hai connection to two faces from the show, Ayo revealed, “I know a few people.

“Like Toby [Aromolaran] is someone I played football with back in the day. So, that’s someone I knew, and Tyrique [Hyde] was, and his little brother – I know him.”

Toby appeared on Love Island back in 2021. He was coupled with Chloe Burrows reached the final – coming in second place. Sadly, in 2022 the pair ended things – with Toby going on to star in this year’s All Stars series.

Harriett Blackmore

Brighton stunner Harriet Blackmore reckons she’ll be bringing the “entertainment” to the villa but she will doubt turn heads on the sexy sun-soaked show too. Away from the Love Island though, Harriet is a dancer and personal shopper.

And it turns out that her snazzy job has led to her rubbing shoulders with mega-famous faces – including a Strictly Come Dancing star.

“Being a bit of an IT girl in Brighton, I’ve done personal shopping for the rapper Arrdee and one of my best friends is Saffron Barker the YouTuber,” Harriet revealed.

YouTube star Saffron appeared on Strictly back in 2019 in its seventeenth series. Partnered with AJ Pritchard, the pair became the 9th couple to get eliminated from the glitzy BBC One show.

Munveer Jabbal

Munveer Jabbal is one of the singletons looking for love in this year’s series. And it turns out one person who knows the 30-year-old well and what he’s looking for is Piers Morgan’s son Spencer Morgan.

Munveer shared that he and the anchorman’s eldest child had bonded over their beloved team Arsenal. Whenever Munveer gets the chance to borrow a spare ticket from Spencer, he snaps up the chance to go and cheer on the Gooners.

But he isn’t sure that his friend will be tuning in to watch him on ITV2. Munveer was quizzed about his bromance with Spencer recently.

When asked if Pier’s son would be “routing for him” on the outside, the recruitment manager quipped: “I think he’ll be cheering on Arsenal, to be honest.” He added: “That’s how we get together, whenever he has a spare ticket and that’s how it goes. Whether or not he’ll be tuning in, I don’t know.

Ronnie Vint

Ronnie Vint is hoping to crack on in the Love Island villa – but he’s actually good friends with a show legend. Eagle-eyed fans will recognise him, as he was best man at Olivia Attwood’s wedding to Bradley Dack

The wedding was aired on Olivia’s show Olivia Meets Her Match, which followed her on her way to her big day. And now, Ronnie has spoken about their connection.

Speaking of Loose Women star Olivia, he said: “Bradley Dack is my best friend and he and Olivia are a big part of my life. I call Olivia my big little sister, she always looks out for me.” The Lewes FC defender has been friends with Bradley for years and is now one of the Loose Woman star’s closest pals.

Love Island returns to ITV2 on Monday, June 3 at 9pm
