Love Island All Stars axes iconic feature – but adds saucy secret area in villa

Casa Amor has been axed from Love Island’s upcoming All Stars series – but a new secret spot have been added into the villa.

The notorious second villa has been a fan-favourite part of the show for years. It sees Islanders split from their couples and tempted by new singletons, so it always causes drama and dumpings when the cast are reunited.

But Daily Star and The Sun can reveal that bosses have decided to cut it from the legends version of the dating show. Producers want to keep past contestants in the dark about what they have in store for them.

The All Stars cast, returning for a second chance at finding love, have already been put through their paces previously when it came to Casa Amor, dubbed the ultimate test of loyalty. So it seems things needed to change.

Mike Spencer, who is an executive producer for Love Island has confirmed that Casa Amor has not made the schedule. This to ensure that All Star’s cast members are kept on their toes.

He said: “We have got to be reactive. These islanders have done it all before so we have to be one step ahead of them. This give us the chance to shake it up and bring in new islanders in new ways.”

The producer went on to share a hint about secret beds that are stashed away in the South African villa. Not wanting to give too much away, Mike added: “We have four hidden single beds in the lounge, so make of that what you will.”

With tighter deadlines to meet, with the show spanning just five weeks instead of the usual eight, there are certainly going to be other key features that also face the chopping block. But fans will have to wait until next week to find out what ITV have in store for them.

Mike added: “Casa Amor, as we know and love it, doesn’t really work for a five week run because you need time to bed in, get to know each other, see if they are for you and if you want to switch it up. I think you don’t need the element of bringing a massive influx of new islanders in.”

“That is good for an eight week run but you don’t need it for this. This is going to be more intense and people will fall for each other quicker,” commented the ITV representative.

Things have really started to ramp-up after the official line-up was confirmed for the All Stars series, with campaigner Georgia Harrison, YouTube star Kaz Kamwi, influencer and star of the Barbie movie Chris Taylor and influencer Liberty Poole all in the mix again.

They’re joined by semi-professional footballer Toby Aromolaran from the 2021 series, ex-Playboy bunny Hannah Elizabeth from the first series, Anton Danyluk from the fifth, Demi Jones from the sixth and Jake Cornish from the seventh – who will be reuniting with his former Love Island ex Liberty Poole.

The spin-off series kicks off on January 15 with Maya Jama back as host.
