Love Island finalists confirm split weeks before All Stars as fans saw clues

Love Island couple Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies have split.

After recent speculation from fans that the Welsh duo had called it quits, a representative for the pair has confirmed it to Daily Star. They had been the only remaining couple still together from the final.

A representative for the Love Island stars told Daily Star: “Over the last couple of days Nicole and Ciaran have made the mutual decision to part ways. They have left the relationship on amicable terms, and will remain good friends going forward.”

Last week, the now former couple had fans theorising that they had split up after a number of social media clues. As one pointed out on X, Nicole had removed a Stories Highlight of them together from her Instagram.

Then just days later, they both attended a party thrown by their management team however neither posted photos with the other online. They were also seen to be staying in the same hotel, however it appeared they were in separate rooms.

Nicole has also unfollowed Ciaran on Instagram. At the time of publication, Ciaran still follows Nicole.

The duo still have a number of photos together on their accounts, though most are brand collaborations. One with clothing brand White Fox recently kickstarted the split rumours.

Fans suggested the couple, who came second in this summer’s Love Island, looked “awkward” together. One said on Reddit: “They look like they’re being held hostage.”

Another said: “This was definitely one of the awkwardest ads I’ve ever seen. Wouldn’t even look at each other never mind complimenting each other on their outfits. So weird how they thought no one would notice.”

Someone else said: “It’s like they were given a challenge to not look at each other.” And another added: “He doesn’t look like a happy camper.”

Now, only one couple from their series is still together. Defying the odds, Uma Jammeh and Wil Anderson are still going strong.

Proving her loyalty at the time, Uma decided to quit the villa after Wil was dumped.

Winners Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan split in September. Third place Sean Stone and Matilda Draper ended things in August. Fourth place Jess Spencer confirmed she had split from Ayo Odukoya in October.

Ciaran and Nicole’s split comes weeks before the return of Love Island: All Stars. It will see a number of former islanders return for another shot at love, with the winners of the 2024 series, Tom Clare and Molly Smith, still loved-up.
