Love Island icon Olivia Hawkins has opened up about why the show has hindered her love life.
The Winter 2023 star chatted to Daily Star at O Beach’s launch party as SHEIN celebrated the launch of their Island Edit. The star spent time with the brand to celebrate their smoking hot new launch.
Olivia exclusively said: “I am dating but I’m not in a rush to settle down. Love Island has definitely hindered things I’d say, it’s so much harder now.

“You don’t know people’s intentions, it’s a lot harder. I think people assume we’re probably more intimidating or something now. The only way people approach me mainly is on Instagram, but they don’t even message, it’s just a like of a story or something!”
Olivia left the ITV villa arm in arm with her ex Maxwell Samuda, 25, but the pair decided to part ways just weeks after leaving the show. Maxwell told the Murad Merali Podcast shortly after: “The main thing I would say with the whole situation, when you’re in the villa and even just after the villa but you’re still in South Africa together, it’s a very different environment.
“All that you have to focus on in that period of time is each other and kind of just being on holiday together and it’s kind of easy to have a great time when you’re on holiday. But once you come back home and there are all these other things going on that then take your attention and take your focus.
“It really gives you the opportunity to look at it and think is there really longevity in this situation or is it that we’ve connected and really got on but outside in the real world we’re just not too sure if it has that same longevity to it.”
Olivia jetted off to Ibiza for the SHEIN x O Beach takeover as the brand celebrated another summer of sponsorship. The star attended the VIP-filled party at the O Beach where she caught up with many TV pals.
To mark the launch of the partnership, SHEIN hosted an exclusive fashion show to showcase their brand-new Island Edit available to shop online and at their residency pop up offering the guests the opportunity to shop their favourite pieces throughout the season.
