Love Island winner Davide Sanclimenti has been dealt a huge blow to his career after he was dropped from a major reality TV show.
Italian stallion Davide was reportedly set to be taking part in the newest series of E4’s Celebs Go Dating in the hopes of finding love once again after ending things with Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu. However, the former sales manager has since decided to part ways with the show before a single scene was filmed, it’s said.
Ekin-Su has been going from strength to strength in her career, having appeared in The Traitors USA, as well as the most recent season of Celebrity Big Brother. The Sun revealed that after being beaten out by his ex to make it on the show, bosses at Channel 4 were keen to snap him up for the cheeky celebrity romance show.

A host of famous faces took part in the latest series of the show, including Vanessa Feltz, Lottie Moss and fellow Islander Adam Collard. But despite bosses’ hopes to land Davide, talks have appeared to break down and he will not be appearing in the new series.
A source close to the show said: “Davide ended talks with Celebs Go Dating a few weeks back. He will be out of the country when it films anyway.”
Davide, 29, has been living it up in Dubai after his relationship with his former Turkish delight Ekin-Su broke down last year. Since then, the Italian hunk has been papped partying, including holding some balloons allegedly filled with nitrous oxide whilst on a night out in Manchester over the Easter weekend.
There is no proof as to whether Davide actually inhaled any of the gas, but in a video, he was seen holding a blue canister filled with the substance that is often used as a recreational drug. There is also no suggestion that Davide’s spot in the video caused the breakdown in talks between himself and Channel 4.
It comes as another blow to his career after his partnership with sports nutrition brand Sci-mix fell through following the video. Sci-mix removed the influencer from its website and he no longer says he is an ambassador for the firm on his Instagram page.
Following the scandal, it is believed that fashion retailer Boohoo Man also cut ties with Davide. Now, the Italian is struggling and sources close to him have said he needs some positivity in his life as soon as possible.
“Davide has had a really tough few months after going through such a difficult and public break-up. He’s tried to put on a brave face but realises recently he’s been mixing with people that don’t have his best interests at heart and he’s put himself into vulnerable situations.”
The source added that Davide will now be focusing on himself and keeping his mental health a priority. They added he will do this concentrating on his fitness journey to get back to “feeling more like his old self”.
