Love Island bosses will be taking things to the next level this year as contestants are set to get hot and heavy in the kinkiest series ever.
Former contestants will be heading in the villa at the weekend and coming face-to-face with some exes, friends and potentially their new perfect match. And bosses are making sure they’re helping them find love along the way.
Executive producer Mike Spencer spoke to press on the new changes coming to the show, and one of the biggest is certainly the hideaway. He confirmed that in the kinkiest hideaway in Love Island history, there will be two beds – meaning two couples could be in at any one time.

He cheekily teased: “Sleepovers will be very fun this series.” There will also be a lot more goodies than ever in the drawers of the steamy room.”

Mike said: “It’s by far the most seductive, sexiest hideaway you’ve ever had. It feels intimate. It feels like you’re at a five star hotel. It’s a walk away from the main villa so you feel like you’re really alone. We will show sex on camera if it happens.”
He also explained that there will be a completely fresh format with the first episode being “very different” to what we had seen before. Mike said: “I want it to be very different. We’re under pressure. This show we are making for the fans, if you love Love Island, you’re going to love this.”

Quizzed on whether the villa will see if its first ever throuple this year with the term being the new dating buzzword, Mike said “Everyone loves a throuple right now. Let’s see. We wouldn’t say no. It would test the format a little bit. We didn’t make the adjustments with solely that in mind but I think sleepovers will be more fun in here. And there could be new bombshells coming in this way. Having the extra bed will be helpful.. and fun.”
There will be no more Casa Amor this year either, with other bombshell twists coming instead of the classic getaway. Host Maya Jama will also be interviewing the dumped islander immediately after their exit with more raw chats taking place. Mike also said if the series is successful then Love Island All Stars will be making a return to screens next year too.

Lots of ex contestants will be coming into the villa with a “big pool” of stars to choose from. Former stars will fly out for 10 days with the potential of being sent in as a bombshell. However, if they’re not pulled into the villa within the 10 days, they’ll be sent packing once more.
Love Island All Stars kicks off on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX on Monday, January 15 at 9pm
