Megan Barton Hanson was “nervous” to reunite with Georgia Steel after the pair completely fell out following their Love Island adventure in 2019.
The now 29-year-old reality star had been feeling uneasy about seeing the Loyal Babe for the first time since their long-standing feud. The pair originally clashed horns following their stint on series four after Georgia claimed Megan had “slagged her off”.
With the pair both being recruited for Love Island Games in Fiji last year, there was no escaping the fact they would have to face one another after almost five years. However, Megan’s fears were instantly squashed after she’d realised her on-screen arch enemy had changed as a person.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star about her first encounter with Georgia after so long, Megan said: “I think she’s grown in every aspect, not even in just her wardrobe. We did Love Island Games together and I was a little bit nervous.”
She added: “I’d heard rumours she was coming in and obviously back in the day we really rubbed each other up the wrong way. But back then she was a baby, literally age 18 or 19 and I think I was like 24.
“So to have that big personality and energy with everything being a hundred miles per hour – and I’m such an introvert – that she was just jarring me. But when we did Love Island Games we got on so well.”
Megan added: “She’s completely different now. Like so much more mature and calm but maybe that’s just part of her growing up I guess.”
The feud between the pair ramped up when Georgia previously told Daily Mail that she was no longer close with her castmate as she claimed Megan had “slagged her off”.
Speaking to the publication at the time, Georgia said: “At the end of the day, I just rise above it, I don’t really care what people think. I do think with some others that fame has gone to their head, I’m not gonna lie.
“I think there’s certain individuals, and you can just see it. It’s just got to their head, and it’s obvious. And, they’re the people I don’t go out with anymore.”

Further fuel was added to the fire when the entire cast gathered with late host Caroline Flack for the reunion show. The ITV host mentioned the tension between the two girls as she probed about what had gone down.
Georgia, who was sat at her table in the audience while Megan was on stage being interviewed, shouted out: “Why is that boo? Why is that boo?” Megan giggled as she told Caroline: “I just didn’t get it! I’ve never been around… I’m very introverted and shy and I think Georgia is very extraverted.”
Mimicking her ex friend, Megan added: “She’s like, ‘Oh my god, how are you boo? You alright?’ Everything’s like massive. So I don’t think it’s that I didn’t like her, I just didn’t get it. I’ve never been around that kind of person before.”
Turning to the audience, Caroline asked: “Georgia, how are you feeling about Megan?” As the brunette replied: “That’s okay boo. No need to worry darling,” as she sipped her drink in a passive aggressive manner.
