Netflix fans are losing their minds over one “brilliant” series they’ve called “the greatest ever”.
Streamers in the Facebook group Netflix Bangers couldn’t stop raving about Breaking Bad after one member asked whether the show was “worth it” as they’d “stopped watching the first episode after ten minutes”.
Underneath the post, one fan advised: “Force yourself, you’ll end up loving it. I deleted it thrice [laughing emoji] It’s one of my best.” Another person said: “It’s the best series I’ve ever watched,” while someone else added: “Voted the best TV show of all time and I agree with that sentiment, so I’d say give it 5 episodes and re-evaluate.”

More Breaking Bad fans gathered to praise the show as they branded it “the greatest of all time,” one of the “best series they’ve ever seen,” that the show is “brilliant” and that viewers will “end up loving it” if they persevere with “patience”.
The American crime drama series has received hugely positive reviews since it was released in 2008. The show rand for 62 episodes with five seasons until its conclusion in September 2013.
Breaking Bad is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico and follows the protagonist Walter White – played by Bryan Cranston – who is a struggling high school chemistry teacher that was recently hit with a devastating diagnosis of stage three lung cancer. White teams up with former student Jesse Pinkman, portrayed by Aaron Paul, as they make and sell methamphetamine in an attempt to help White’s family financially.
The show has gained a huge cult following since its conclusion and has been widely regarded as one of the best television series of all time. At one point, Breaking Bad was also one of the most-watched cable shows on US TV.
Thanks to the series’ excellent storyline and intriguing characters it has won a number of prestigious awards, including 16 Primetime Emmys, two Golden Globes, two Critic’s Choice awards among many others.
Cranston, Paul and their co-star Anna Gunn all received awards and recognition for their roles while in 2013, Breaking Bad was admitted to the Guinness World Records as the most critically acclaimed show of all time. Rotten Tomatoes ranked the show as the best television series of the last 25 years back in 2023.
