Rihanna fans convinced singer is sending hidden messages about upcoming album

Rihanna’s fans think the star is sending hints about her music career.

The singer recently updated her iconic Instagram profile picture, which has been a stick figure against a white background for 10 years. Rihanna replaced it with a picture of a Fenty product against a bright yellow sunset, but fans have been losing their minds and think the change is a clear message.

Fans took to X/Twitter to discuss Rihanna’s music career and speculated that fans won’t be getting another album “ever again”. One said: “She really changed it to an alien holding [a] Fenty product, we’re never getting that album I fear.”

Another wrote: “Well, thanks for reminding us that we’re never getting the album, Rihanna,” while a third said: “We never getting this album.” More fans posted on the platform and shared their disappointment, stating that her “music is never coming” and that there will be “no album coming this year”.

Someone even joked that the fanbase had “lost” while another sarcastically typed: “Boycott Fenty so she runs out of money and comes out with an album instead.” Rihanna’s last album was Anti, which was released back in 2016 – one year before her makeup brand Fenty was launched.

Fans are convinced this means she won’t be releasing an album

Although her last album was over eight years ago, Rihanna has released 12 songs including three for film soundtracks and nine features. Many fans will know them – This Is What You Came For with Calvin Harris, Sledgehammer for Star Trek Beyond, Loyalty with Kendrick Lamar, Wild Thoughts with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller and Lift Me Up for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever just to name a few.

For now, it seems Rihanna’s focus is on her beauty line which is worth approximately $2.8 billion. Fenty is distributed in Sephora, Ulta and Target among other retailers. Her other business, lingerie line Savage X Fenty, also takes up a lot of the singer’s time.

She is regularly spotted on the brand’s Instagram page posing up a storm in the skimpy ensembles, most recently in an icy blue ensemble. She was pictured rolling around in purple bed sheets as she played with her hair in front of the camera.
