Rocker Mick Jagger has adopted sheep at his lavish estate in the French countryside.
The Rolling Stones frontman has put a new band together – a menagerie of animals at his posh 16th-century castle La Fourchette on the Loire River.
His partner Melanie Hamrick said they also keep four cats, four chickens, two rabbits and four dogs.

She said: “We rescued the sheep. I had mentioned it would be nice to have some, as we have the space.
“I told someone in the area, and they told me about a farmer who had a mother and three baby sheep that he didn’t want. I said: ‘We’re taking them!’
“At first, they wouldn’t come near us, but now they’re like dogs.
“When I pull into the driveway, they come out of their little house and follow the car.
“I call their names and they come running. They like a little scratch on the head and they like to be scratched behind the ears.”
Animal lover Melanie also revealed that Sir Mick suggested she volunteer at Battersea Park Children’s Zoo or Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
The couple rent a posh property in Chelsea when they are staying in the UK.
She told Hello magazine: “I told him I would love to, but I would probably end up bringing home more animals.
“So he was like: ‘Oh yeah – maybe not…’”
