Ruth Langsford has given a plea to viewers following her split from Eammon Holmes.
The 64-yeart-old TV star was seen at production meetings ahead of Monday’s (July 22) edition of Loose Women at ITV Studios in West London. The former This Morning host herself was chuffed to be coming back to her workplace and took to her Instagram stories to check in with fans.
Snapping a video of the Loose Women sign, Ruth strutted her stuff as she walked down the hallway behind the scenes of the show. As she flaunted her stylish look, the camera panned to a glowing neon sign that read “Let’s get loose!”

Taking to the caption, Ruth penned a simple message to her viewers: “Back on the Loose! Hope you can join us!” However, while some fans may be eager to her Ruth’s side of the divorce story, it has been claimed that she will not be making any reference to the split and is keen to crack on with work as normally as possible.
Ruth was confirmed to be returning to our screens on Monday (July 22), two months after the split. Since coming to terms with the divorce proceedings, sources close to Ruth had said that the time was right to make a comeback, despite still feeling hurt by the breakdown.
She has been away from the public for two months after she announced in May that she was ending her marriage to ex-husband Eamonn. The pair had been hitched for 14 years, and together for even longer, but decided to cut ties earlier this year.
Since then, Eamonn has thrown himself back into his work life, going on to present his GB News show two days after the separation was announced. Ruth, on the other hand, decided to shy away from public life, taking time away from Loose Women and her QVC shopping show.
Speaking to the Mirror, a good pal of Ruth, explained: “It will no doubt be emotional for her to return but she just wants to get on with things now; the time feels right for her to get back to Loose Women. It is a job she loves doing and even though the split has been very tough, life must go on and Ruth is determined to get back to her day job.”
Ruth, who has not been seen on the show since April, will be joined on the panel by Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter as they tackle the big news stories of the day. It comes as Eamonn continues to struggle with the dissolution of his marriage to Ruth, as he continues to wear his wedding ring.
The broadcaster was seen sporting the piece of jewellery as he worked on another show with co-star Anne Diamond on Sunday (July 21), where he said it was a “pleasure” to work alongside her again. His health woes continue to play into his pain, as he was seen requiring a walker after leaving a café in central London earlier this month.
