Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebutt was nowhere to be seen during the latest instalment of the morning show.
The 50-year-old chef usually presents the BBC show every week but he was replaced by Irish television personality Donal Skehan on Saturday (May 18) morning.
BBC Breakfast presenters Charlie Stayt and Nina Warhust confirmed the show shake-up when they crossed over to Donal live on air to find out what was coming up on the programme.

Charlie said: “Donal is taking over on Saturday Kitchen quite literally. You’ve taken over the place.” An Donal replied: “I’m quite excited to be in the hot seat. They’ve let me back in and I have the keys to the kitchen so good morning.” He went on to reveal he’s being joined in the studio by Sabrina Ghayour, Jack Stein, Eddie Izzard and Olly Smith.
Donal is food writer, cook, photographer and former singer and is best known for his television appearances, cookbooks and YouTube channel. He was also a member of the boyband Streetwize. As vocalist with Industry he had two No. 1 singles with them on the Irish Singles Chart in 2009.
Regular host Matt is headlining Ballymaloe Food Festival this weekend. The festival, which runs from May 17th to 19th, will feature a mix of guest chefs, cooking demos, talks, wine tasting, cocktail menus, producers, writers, and pop-up dining events. Fans of Saturday Kitchen on will find the presenter and star chef Matt Tebutt in conversation with Rachel Allen and the TV chef will also be doing a cooking demo on Saturday.
The festival is a celebration of 60 years at Ballymaloe House since Myrtle Allen and her husband Ivan opened The Yeats Room at Ballymaloe in 1964, with a message of sustainability and a return to the roots of the original farm to table movement.
Saturday Kitchen airs weekly on BBC One at 10am
