Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has revealed there is “no evidence of the disease” as she shared an incredible update on her cancer diagnosis.
Last week, the 33-year-old, who had been previously diagnosed with breast cancer, was rushed to hospital as her family accompanied her during another tough time. Amy went on to receive care in the respiratory unit and her husband Ben “spent hours next to [her] bed” while she slept.
However, later on, Amy headed over to her Instagram following her hospital stay and revealed to her fans online that she was “feeling much better now”. Alongside a snap of herself where she could be seen smiling radiantly with her arms in the air, Amy also shared some positive news.

She said: “NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE! Words I dreamed of! My biggest accomplishment yet! I won’t be getting the all-clear for 5 years especially with a hormone fed cancer. But it was all worth it. Words I never thought I’d hear at one point.”
She continued her powerful message by writing: “So grateful for all the care I received and continue to have. To my husband, family and friends who supported me unconditionally and to you guys! Thank you!
“I will still need a monthly injection for 5 years and regular check ups. Chemo and this past year has certainly took its toll on my body both physically and mentally, so I’ll be taking the next few months to heal and recover.”
“I have so much to strive and live for, and so grateful for another chance at life! Something I know not all get.
“I certainly see life differently and my life has changed forever! Cancer affects too many so I will continue to do all I can to raise awareness and make sure I get as many as I can to #checkthemselves.”
The star finished off her message by stating that she will be back on the dance floor soon. She said: “It’s time to look ahead after what’s been the toughest year, and one I certainly didn’t expect! Dance floor I’m coming for you! Welsh love, always Amy.”
After seeing her heartfelt message, fans and her celebrity pals headed straight to the comment section to congratulate her. TV presenter Gaby Roslin said: “FANTASTIC news beautiful. Sending so much love your way.”
Presenter Alan Carr said: “THE best news!!” Meanwhile, a fan penned: “How do I begin to express my joy of hearing this. You have faced this with great courage- my pride is beyond words.”
Amy kept her fans in the loop regarding her health when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023. The dance pro previously shared how she found a lump in her breast a day before her honeymoon with her husband Ben.
