Taylor Swift didn’t seem too amused after being the subject of a joke by Golden Globes’ host Jo Koy, 52, on Sunday night.
The pop star’s concert film, The Eras tour movie, was up for an award in the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category but lost out to Barbie. During his opening speech however, comedian and host Jo Koy made a quip about Taylor’s relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, 34, saying: “Welcome back. As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader.
“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL – on the Golden Globes there’s fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.” The cameras then cut to a stern-faced Swift sipping her champagne, not appearing to find the joke funny.

He continued: “I swear, there’s more to go to here. Sorry about that.”
The 34-year-old hitmaker wasn’t the only person unimpressed by the host’s dig, as fans took to X to weigh in on Koy.
One said: “That landed with a giant thud and a death glare from Swift. Not Jo Koy’s best moment.”
Another wrote: “Does the fool who’s hosting the Golden Globes and just made a joke about Taylor Swift realize millions of viewers had to Google who the hell is Jo Koy!???”
A third typed: “Can’t wait for Taylor Swift to make a diss track about him”
While a fourth added: “Agree. Uncomfortable laughter. And using Taylor Swift in a joke that stopped being funny months ago was a cheap shot.”
Another said: “Jo Koy, that was embarrassing to watch. And continuously blaming your writers for jokes not landing? Seriously?”

One viewer, however, leapt to Koy’s defence, writing: “It was funny because it’s true. She could have taken it a little less personal though especially if she continues to see him, it’s only going to get worse. Settle in and laugh.”
Barbie shockingly triumphed over Taylor Swift’s The Eras concert movie to bag the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award. It also beat Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, John Wick: Chapter 4, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, Oppenheimer, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Margot Robbie, 33, and director Greta Gerwig, 40, excitedly rushed to the stage with the cast and crew to accept the award. Meanwhile, Swift was a gracious loser as she led the standing ovation.
Fans started to wonder if the star had left early after the award snub as she was no longer visible in her seat next to Miles Teller’s wife Keleigh Sperry.
One fan wrote: “I think Taylor left i don’t see her in the audience anymore” while another typed: “90% sure Taylor has left the event she hasn’t been seen since Barbie.”
