The Chase’s Bradley Walsh issues warning to co-star after ‘condescending’ behaviour

Bradley Walsh fumed over his co-star’s “condescending” behaviour on The Chase.

The presenter, 63, welcomed four new contestants into the studio on Friday (March 1) who hoped to leave the show with some cash. The four players went head-to-head with Shaun Wallace.

The final person to to take on The Dark Destroyer was Annmaria. She won an impressive £6,000 in her cash builder and decided to stick with the sum as she faced the table.

After the 65-year-old answered her second question correctly, Shaun began clapping for her efforts. Bradley then mimicked his co-stars actions as he demanded: “That’s got to stop.”

He added: “It looks so condescending. It has to stop.” Annmaria didn’t mind it however as she responded: “Oh I like it. It helps you to learn.”

Shaun then continued to clap as he muttered: “Well done. Well played.” The retired police officer saw the funny side of the chaser as she laughed: “I’ll take that any day.”

The following question saw the duo asked about a type of fish which Shaun answered incorrectly. Bradley took a moment to mock his co-star as he began clapping as a shocked Annmaria couldn’t hide her shock.

Annmaria made it through to the final chase, joining her fellow team members Tom and Laura. Tom, 26, was the first contestant to make it through.

He was closely followed by Laura, who took the team’s overall total to £11,000. The trio were playing for £17,000 after Annmaria’s sum was added to the bank total.

In the final round, they managed to answer 14 questions correctly. They knew it wasn’t the best score, but Bradley pointed out that teams have won on that total before.

Shaun got off to a slow start, answering his fourth question wrong. The team managed to deliver the correct answer, pushing him back a step. After the team executed four pushbacks, it was a nail-biting final 10 seconds as Shaun battled to catch the team. As he went to answer the final question, the buzzer went and the team went home with £17,000 to split.
