This Morning’s Alison Hammond performs ‘striptease’ as Dermot O’Leary brands her ‘sexy’

This Morning’s Alison Hammond was left in hysterics as she performed a “striptease” – and was quickly branded “sexy” by her co-star Dermot O’Leary.

To celebrate the new series of Netflix hit show Bridgerton hitting the streaming service this week, the pair took an etiquette lesson from Laura Windsor, who worked on the show to tell the actors exactly how they should behave in the Ton. Alison started off wearing cream silk gloves and a fascinator in her hair – but it soon went wrong.

Laura advised that gloves should not be worn at the dinner table, and Alison began seductively peeling hers off, before her hairpiece fell out. This all happened as Laura was trying to keep her composure and explain how she got into etiquette in the first place.

Dermot interrupted to ask Alison: “What are you doing? Now your fascinator’s gone! Why are you doing a striptease over there? You’ve made it all sexy – it’s not supposed to be sexy!”

Alison Hammond couldn’t contain her laughter

Speaking through tears of laughter, Alison said: “I was taking my gloves off!” as Dermot did an impression of her, waving his arms around seductively while sporting a huge top hat.

Alison cracked up, unable to contain her giggles as Dermot joked: “This is basically My Fair Lady over there!” When Alison made a loud noise, Laura couldn’t help but ask: “Did I hear a snort?”

Dermot and Alison were left cackling over a racy segment

Dermot quickly apologised for his co-host, who was struggling with her fascinator – and it seemed fans at home were plenty entertained too. Taking to X, one user wrote: “Have they given Alison blue Smarties today?!”

Another penned: “Jeez Alison!” while someone else said: “Laura’s like a teacher trying to keep a couple of disruptive kids in control!” Another X user was less impressed, penning: “This etiquette woman is doing remarkably well considering they’re d***ing about through the whole segment. Surprised she’s not lost her rag.”

Things got even racier later on, as Dermot told Alison she’d be taking part in a “pole exercise” – branding it “amazing”. She joked back: “Ooh, I didn’t know it was that kind of show!”

Dermot quipped: “We’ve had the gloves off, now…” and began to cheekily chant: “Take it off, take it off!”
