Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz didn’t hit things off straight away.
Despite being loved-up since 2019, Brooklyn and Nicola’s initial encounter wasn’t quite the fairy-tale.
The Hollywood couple bumped into each other at Coachella years before sparks flew and Nicola has previously revealed that they “really didn’t” click during that first meeting, reports the Mirror.
“I actually met Brooklyn like six years ago at Coachella through one of my brothers, his name is Diesel. We really didn’t get along. He had a girlfriend and I had a boyfriend and we just didn’t click at all,” she told Wonderland in 2022.
“Diesel was like: ‘Oh my friend Brooklyn wants to crash at our house,’ because all my brothers rented a house for Coachella. We barely interacted. We look back at pictures, like group pictures and I’m with my boyfriend and Brooklyn’s in the corner.”
Love eventually sparked between the two and they began dating in October 2019. Celebrating their love, Brooklyn gushed on Instagram in October 2020: “Happy 1 year anniversary baby. I’m the luckiest person to have you by my side x”
“I can not wait to grow old with you and start a family with you love you so much,” he gushed.
Before reaching the one-year mark, the couple hit another major relationship goal and got engaged. Just nine months into their romance, Brooklyn got down on one knee in summer 2020.
He announced on Instagram: “Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes,” adding: “I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day, I love you baby xx.”
Nicola also took to social media to share the joyous news, posting an adorable photo of her looking into his eyes.
“You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. Your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby and thank you Harper for this pic,” she wrote in the caption.
