Karma singer JoJo Siwa revealed that she was embroiled in a scathing war of words with a fellow Hollywood star before hitting back with her own slew of comments
CBB star JoJo Siwa was been embroiled in a high-profile feud with a Hollywood actress.
Former Dance Moms star JoJo, 21, is now settling into the Celebrity Big Brother house after making an explosive entrance to the show on Monday (April 7). The Karma singer is now bunking up with likes of Mickey Rourke and Patsy Palmer, both of whom have fans hoping for some scandalous drama to come from.
However, JoJo herself has revealed that while she is the youngest celebrity housemate of the cast, she is still able to get into verbal spats. This comes after it was discovered that she is currently involved in a three-year long feud with a Hollywood superstar.
In a surprise move, the Yesterday’s Tomorrow’s Today singer began the rift when she was asked about who she got on with in the Hollywood scene. She then revealed that the actress mentioned was “the rudest celebrity she’d ever met”.
JoJo revealed all in a TikTok where she showed celebrities and gave her opinions about them, including TV star Candace Cameron Bure. She slammed Candace, 49, for her alleged behaviour after they first met over a decade ago.
The dancer revealed that back in 2015, when JoJo was just 11-years-old, she had attended a premiere in Hollywood, along with Candace and her co-stars on the Full House reboot, Fuller House. JoJo recognised Candace and asked her for a photo, to which she replied: “Not right now.”
Candace allegedly did not come back to take the picture with the Dance Moms star. Responding to the claims, Candance made her own video explaining her side of the story, adding: “I broke your 11-year-old heart. Please know that as a mum that it breaks my heart that I made you feel that way.”
As well as this, she mused: “Honestly I was shocked when I saw the TikTok on Sunday and had no idea where it came from.” But while the beef was seemingly squashed, Candace would go on to incur the wrath of JoJo again, when she advocated for “wholesome” content for “traditional families” on her new venture at The Great American Family channel.
JoJo – who is pansexual – was having none of it, however, and blasted Candace on a podcast. She explained that she understood where the star was coming from, but hit out at the actress for blaming everything on the LGBTQ+ community.
“It’s fine if you are doing it because it’s just your movie’s storyline and it’s just it is what it is, not everything needs to be gay essentially,” JoJo explained. “But when you’re doing it out of spite to say that ‘too much is about LGBTQIA+ and you guys suck and I want to make a movie about traditional marriage and you’re not traditional’ that got to me a little bit.”
Since then, JoJo and Candace have kept their words quiet about the other. The most recent comments JoJo made about Candace came in an episode of her JoJo Siwa Now podcast, where she effectively banned Cameron from coming onto the show.
“Honestly, no real shade anymore to Cameron, I just wouldn’t have her on my podcast, you know what I mean?” she explained. “If I saw her, I would just not say hi.”
