Celebrity Big Brother viewers were shocked when one housemate accidentally exposed their bare bum in the garden, in full view of their housemates, when their shorts slipped off
A Celebrity Big Brother star has suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
Former Tory MP Michael Fabricant entered the house earlier this week alongside the likes of Hollywood star Mickey Rourke, EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer and eighties music star Chesney Hawkes, who admitted he would likely be seen naked around the house. And it seems like Fabricant has taken a leaf out of Chesney’s book as he ended up flashing his bare bottom.
The 74-year-old recently addressed his famous blonde barnet, which he has denied is a wig. But it was his backside that had everyone talking during last night’s episode (April 8).
Sir Michael, who is known for his quirky fashion choices, ended up showing more than he bargained for in the garden when his brightly-coloured shorts slipped down. The politician was kneeling down by the hot tub when he revealed his bottom in front of housemates such as Love Island’s Chris Hughes.
Celebrity Big Brother viewers couldn’t believe it, and it’s clear a few weren’t thrilled by the sight. “Between Mickey brushing his teeth in the kitchen sink and Michael’s arse crack, I am traumatised,” wrote one.
Mickey Rourke had been spotted brushing his teeth in the kitchen sink prior to Michael’s shorts saga. “Not Michael’s builder’s bum!!”, wrote another on X, formerly Twitter.
The hilarious moment also aired on spin-off show Late and Live, prompting screams from the studio audience. “Not the first time a former MP has made an ar** of themselves on TV!”, quipped host AJ Odudu.
Michael’s famous locks hav sparked speculation for years, but despite many believing it’s a wig, he’s always denied this to be the case. He once conceded that his hair has been a little ‘enhanced’, but never shared any more details.
Back in 2014, he told the Mirror: “It’s a lot more complicated than that. OK, all I will admit to is that there is some – but only some – enhancement of the follicular area.” He never said how much or where this “enhancement” had taken place.
However, he seemed to hint that it may actually be a wig after all in the VT that played before he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house, where he was met by rather a lot of boos from the live audience. He said: “I can show you the receipts, it cost a fortune.” Although the remark didn’t confirm that he was wearing a wig, it did reveal that he’d spent a lot of money on his hairdo – and that not all of it was natural.
Asked why he wanted to take part in Celebrity Big Brother, Michael said: “Meeting interesting people and having good conversations. Having some fun and to find out what it’s like being trapped with people I don’t know!”
Asked how he would get on with his fellow housemates, he replied: “It’s difficult to say. If they’re bright, amusing, interesting it’ll be great. I’m a light sleeper so if they have some funny nighttime habits, that could be a problem.
“So no snorers, please. I think boredom is my biggest fear – not having enough stimulation.”
Fabricant serves as the MP for Lichfield in Staffordshire from 1992 until 2024. He lost to Labour’s Dave Robertson by 810 votes.
